n. (psychobabble) 1. the idea that
leaders should place less emphasis on getting the job done and more emphasis on involving
those under them in the process. For example, a teacher should be less concerned with turning
out educated students and more concerned with letting students take charge of their own education
and feel good about themselves. Likewise, a manager should be less concerned with providing good
products in a timely fashion to customers and more concerned with building a strong team. See
facilitation 2. letting the employees participate in the decision-making process,
because you don’t have a clue. 3. getting employee input, then doing what you planned to do all along.
